Going to buy a Esprit DVD from the UK to help pass some of this shitty rainy non-motoring weather. But its 25 pounds which is $65.00 NZD (for one). A rather expensive DVD me thinks ? Or am I being a terry tight a$$

That's not tooooooo bad... seen other similar DVDs selling for same.... I mean you COULD get something about cars that's cheaper but it'd be something like The Fast and the Furious :P

You could always consider it to be an investment and generate some cashflow from it.

1) Rent it out to members of the Lotus-clan at $5/week

2) Hold a viewing with an entry fee of two bottles of wine (one to drink and one for the host)

This would be more like Chardonnay-flow rather than cashflow

Sounds about right for a good quality DVD. If that includes postage, it's fine.

I'll grab the projector from work to get the images to life size !!

As long as you have a big enough wall somewhere and I'll bring the laptop and intermission can be a few mad car video thingys...........

Large surround sound stereo required though !!

Hey thanks, we have got the full-on home theatre, pull down screen, commercial speakers etc and works a treat. Plenty of room for everyone. I will figure out a date and see what works for people.

I have the (much hyped) Extreme Driving dvd-which i paid a similarly daft price for and which is surprisingly dull but which is marginally better than watching rain. Could probably courier it to you or somesuch?

Aah ok... cheers ... I've got an E-Type video that I scored for a few bob from the Warehouse.... it's sponsored by Castrol... I'll have a rifle through their DVD bin next tim I'm in there and have a look.... dad's birthday's coming up too.... although I already forked out 3Hundy on a pukka book on the Lotus Elite S1 (he had one back in the day) purely because it's got the original build sheets and numbers of all cars that left the factory and info on when it was a race car ... am I an anorak or what?!?!? :P

Heh yes, I also have an annoying habit of calling people "guv" and no, I'm not a spy at all *whistles innocently*

Yeah, I'm gonna contact Jim and let him put the word around the TVR boys, and I'll put the word out to anyone else that might like to come along... should be GREAT
