Any ideas of where, why, how, what, when, or even IF you can get track-day insurance ?

[/small]Sorry if there's been another thread on this but the search engine is disabled[/small]

Don't know if there has been one done in NZ Forums before, but valid question... I'd love to know IF and HOW MUCH.... because it's something that would be worthwhile doing.... if nobody does, there might even be a business case for it... trackdays are only going to grow in popularity... look at how they've grown in the UK, same is sure to happen here. (if RMA/OSH doesn't kill them)

I suggest you ring up you insurer/broker,they should be able to help.
I know you can get trackday insurance incorparated in your policy.
Or you can do what I do and call the broker and just get cover for X day.
Sorry don't know of costs, the bussiness pays, must have a looksie..

I very much doubt my insured would like the idea of me taking the Elise NEAR a track let alone on it.... I think I'd be best off just contacting a purely different insurer and getting them to do one-offs for trackdays.

I'm sorry but my insurer and help never appear in the same sentence.

Maybe I should go shopping for new insurance with "Must have Track Day Policies" as one of the prerequisites.

I've been quite slack about this but need to look into it again with a number of brokers.

Thanks for the suggestion Roger

I second the Joblins Insurance in Hamilton......cheap effective when you need them.
I sure they will insure track, they have done some weird stuff for me in the past, shipping insurance, all sorts of stuff out of there norm business.
