18 months ago I put King spring Superlows in my honda and it still sat 120mm off the ground. Not particularly low but it looked nice and didnt have to worry about speed bumps too much.

It sat at this height for along time then I went for a warrant yesterday and they failed me on height. turns out my front sway bar is only about 90mm off the ground. Everything else is still legal but I dont think theyd be happy about me removing the sway bar?

Theyre a reputable brand (if one of the cheaper ones). How the hell can they sag 30mm

So come tomorrow standard springs are going back in the front to get the warrant while I think of what to do. Dont wanna spend anymore money on it since Im already trying to sell it.

Sorry just venting, had enough of this damn car. Should have bought that europa when I had the chance...it would have been cheaper:rage:

Are you sure that's the only problem ?

If you like it that way . . . there's always LVVTA

I tend to agree, 30mm seems like a lot. I would hazard a guess that there is some weak link there, we all expect some reduction over time with use (Unless the strings have been pre-fatigued) but that is amazing.

30mm is a whole lot for that time.... I've only ever heard bad things about kings from people who know a lot.... the boyracers generally don't care too much at all and personally I'd only ever go for Eibachs... from what I've heard (and driven) when used with the right shocks they're WELL worth the extra money.... Having said that, the 'lise seems to handle perfectly on what it's got so I doubt I'll be changing for a while

I had previously measured everything and have again, I can confirm the car is alot lower than it used to be, but its not like it suddenly got there over night, to me it dont look any lower than it used to.

Although the sway bar is marginally lower than the chassis rails I used to measure off previously so it may have only dropped 20mm. Thats still far too much though.

I could get it certed but thats the only mod that would require it and the car is already for sale for tens of thousands less than Ive spent so dont really want to

put the standards back in it, WOF it, put the kings back in and flog it mate.... after living with my girlfriend's del Sol for a few months, I hate it already... nearly all the impracticality of the Elise with absolutely NONE of the performance... and a bit of a wet blanket in terms of entertainment.

Its passed the last two warrants with these springs and i measured it about 2 months after getting it and the chassis rails were 120mm.

Now the chassis rails are just (only just at that) over 100 and the swaybar is about 90.

Car is definaltey for sale im just hoping I can get something semi reasonable for it. At the end of the day id rather take a bigger loss and get rid of it sooner, im on a reasonable income now so losing a couple more grand isnt really that much in the scheme of things.

Its a fun enough car, will be more exciting than what I replace it with but I need the practicality to carry out my other plans
