Any of you people live out in westy world where most of the hoons live? Gutted to find out only two weeks ago that another Esprit owner just lived around the corner from our old house. We never even saw each other
Oh well I am now based in West Harbour close to the marina, so be nice to hear if any other nice classic car owners live near by.

Hey Kylie,

I hope the new house is going all right! Managed to move all your stuff ok? How many times have you re-arranged the furniture so far? Has your furniture managed to go full circle and end up back where it started?

Hey there, yeah it was easy packing everything up to shift, but unpacking and finding cosy spots for everything is kinda hard. I opened the hall cupboard the other day to put some spare linen, blankets in it and to my surprise Simon had his much beloved shiny hotrod parts in it So everything is just one big compromise I guess. Whats wrong with that you say? mmmm Least I could choose which side of the garage to put the Loti on. The neighbours already been spying on us and asking to look at the toys. So we have met the nice neighbours already.

Hi Kylie, hope the new house is working out well. Compromise is definitely the name of the game

I've just bought a place myself, with not one but two garages, so that's the car side of things taken care of The compromise is that Pauline gets a new kitchen. Settlement is 20th May, so I've got all that lovely packing and unpacking to look forward to...

Wow, two seperate double garages? excellent got a view of the harbour in Wellington? The kitchen thing for us was easy as we both like to cook, so it had to be a new one regardless. If you were local to me id give you my boxes. All I can say is start packing

Sadly, only one double garage attached to the house, and a ramshackle old single standing by itself.

Not in Wellington itself, so so sadly no view of the harbour - I can't afford a house with a view! I'm in Belmont, Lower Hutt, so I've got a view across the valley.

Not in this weather! You can probably see my house however. Should start a game of “flick the switches”

I recall a quote from my uncles girlfriend on his motorcycles: “Motorcycles and parts for motorcycles stay out of the house, I don’t put my fine china in your garage do I?”.

Made sure your Lotus has the warm side of the garage?

Good luck finding places for everything!

Yep internal access I exit out of the car by the door to the house. I also have the best swing angle backing out and around the corner to go down the driveway. Got that sussed early. :-)

I'll flash my headlights as I come out of the garage

Glad it's all going well Ours is a bit of a 'doer upper', so we won't be moving in for a while yet. We currently have no kitchen (just ripped out yesterday) and I removed all the manky old carpets last week. It's still got the original floorboards, so I'm hoping they'll polish up well. I just have to remove a few hundred old carpet staples from them first...

The 'liner does fit nicely in the garage though, and I've unpacked all my tools in readiness

Good stuff sounds like its going to be a very stylish villa when your done not to mention a fine investment. I love polished floor boards and its amazing how you can make them feel quite warm with a lick of paint on the walls and a fancy little carpet runner up the middle.
