Am I the only one that thinks this is a very expensive way to block up the roads?

Goooooooogle doesn't seem to know either, but I did find :

13.02.2005 - Wellington Car Club Hill Climb

Which if you ask me is a perfectly legitimate reason to block any road (other than the ones I intended to drive on that day)

P.S. I've been trying to manufacture a reason to use that smilie for ages

Wellington Inner City ByPass gentlemen (It’s a road going through central Wellington that will allow motorists to zoom from one traffic jam to another in record time!).

If it's also a "Central Government Bypass" it might be worth the cost and inconvenience

No they are keeping the beehive and knocking down houses which hold some true architectural value (as opposed to the school of brutal concrete design student that is responsible for “the beehive”). I’m hoping that Destiny “church” members are taking a stroll right under the buildings as they topple.

*Warning the following rant contains material that may not be totally PC*

[rant] At least I’m not the only one who thinks it’s more like a cult than a church. I remember they walked around central Wellington for a day, which don’t get me wrong is just exercising their freedom, but probably didn’t win them much public support with those going about their every day business by blocking the roads etc. Actually I think all marches should be banned in Wellington and we can move the Bee hive to a largely unpopulated are of New Zealand. Brian Tamaki has become a very wealthy man. Lets say that hes taking as much as 15% from every members wages, lets assume an average income of $30K per member or joint family income (family benefits) spread over say 1500 contributing paying members that is $6.7mil annually. That minimum numbers!!! I mean he must have a few thousand members by now.

If hes a follower of god and good family values, why doesn't he do it for free? I think hes a scammer and a robbing thief preying on the weak and vulnerable.

And I thought doing the lord’s work didn’t pay! Damn this trade rubbish they should run course on how to establish religious cults at University. Something tells me from the Television images that he may find most of his support in the Maori and/or Pacific communities or at least they are most vocal in support of his…”Policies” (I use that world loosely as it applies in the same way that the Nazi’s had policies towards people of other creeds).

Well based on a $30,000 NZ salary that will be $4,500 NZ per annum to PH then, but we will accept one time payments of 50c
