I have used the US service quite a bit and been v impressed with the shipping prices compared to what a US vendor would charge to ship here. They have now launched in the UK which might be of interest for those buying cheaper / unavailable car bits. Quite handy for those eBay items that will only be shipped to a local address.

You sign up (no cost) and they assign you a unique first line address for their Oregon warehouse - e.g Suite 1234567 where the suite number is your account number.
You buy something frm Amazon or wherever - many offer free shipping to US addresses - giving the above as delivery address.
When it arrives NZ Post staff there notify you and quote delivery price to NZ. Their website lists all received shipments and status - received, paid for, sent, tracking #, etc. You pay online and they forward it on by airmail at a much better price (my experience) than you would have got from the US seller. I think they're starting to offer consolidation now or soon too so if you've got multiple orders you can get freight savings by shipping them as one - just be sure consolidation doesn't tipyou over $NZ 400 when the GST police start intercepting shipments.
That's my experience with US - I'm assuming UK will work the same.

Thanks. Often the overseas postage seem ridiculous. This looks a useful service.
