I think there are only a couple of us down here, me with my Skylines and Mike with his Esprits, but just incase - i'd like to extend an invitation out to anyone/everyone in the area to attend our Nissan Skyline club meets. A number of our Dunedin members are over 50, so age isn't an issue.

I took over the club nearly a year ago and we've always been very welcoming of ANY type of vehicle, even motorbikes. We've had a large variety attend meets before, Toyota Corollas/Supras (my brother owns one now)/Hilux/Hiace, Subaru Legacys, Mazda RX-7, Ford Fairmont/Falcon XR6 (and XR6 Turbo), Mitsubishi EVOs, Honda and Kawasaki motorbikes, Mike and his Lotus Esprit Sport 350 (pic) and so on. A guy i know with a 1970s Porsche Carerra is keen to come along too but days haven't suited yet.
We sometimes have combined meets with NZ Hondas, ToySpeed (Toyota club) and have extended invitations to other clubs (Subaru, BMW etc) too.
You'll find no/not much evidence of stereotypical 'boy racers' you see on TV at our meets, with caps on upside down and pants dragging on the ground behind them. We occasionally get a hoon along, but they get bored (i guess) with the fact we don't do skids/races etc and never come back to another meet - not that we're worried!
If anyone is here and reads this in time, tomorrow (Sunday 24th March) we are doing a longer cruise than normal and are heading out to Karatane via the back roads (SH1 is too straight) to Palmerston, then maybe grabbing a quick bite to eat before heading off to Macraes past the mine all the way to Middlemarch, Outram and back to the city.
Leaving 10:30am sharp from the Dunedin Ice Stadium carpark.

This isn't meant as an advertisement for our club, i don't think anyone on here even owns a Skyline, but moreso as another way for PHers to meet up.

Our next meet will be in mid April maybe.
It was only a small turnout as i didn't advertise much and a number of people couldn't make it, but it was pretty much just a reconnaissance run anyway for that route. Awesome day though, and really nice roads.
Attendees;
1x R34 Skyline GT sedan
2x R32 Skyline GTS coupe
1x R31 Skyline Passage GT sedan
1x Audi A4? (lateish model)

Hey. Yep, newcomers are always welcome, and i always try make them feel welcome too (i'm usually the first person to approach a newcomer when they park up).
Another member may be bringing his Honda Accord to the meet tomorrow instead of his Skyline GT-R, so you may not be alone.
But yeah, really doesn't matter at all what people turn up in.

If you're a Christchurchian we also have a meet the previous day to the Dunedin one. Even though i run the club i haven't met a lot of the Chch members but they still should be welcoming and friendly. If not, then let me know!
