I always use BP, a legacy of them being sole South Island 98 octane (Ultimate) petrol suppliers, when I switched to satans fuel I just carried on using them (even though BP's 'Ultimate' diesel is just a lower foam formula than normal).

Last week I was given a 25c per litre off voucher valid only for 'Z' petrol stations. I ran my tank almost dry, squeezed 77 litres into an 80 litre tank and thought nothing of it but....

The next day I noticed my engine was smoother at cold start-up, more eager to pull from moderate revs and stronger at the top end, same thing today, quieter, stronger, smoother - it's like an ecu re-map.

For those who run vehicles fuelled from the devils pump I thought you might like to know.

Note:

I don't work for 'Z' - or anyone else for that matter.........smile

I'm not a diseasel user but have noticed that when I have to use 95 instead of 98 in the Legacy (which is most of the time seeing as you STILL can't get 98 south of Dunedin ranting ) its smoother and happier on Caltex 95 than BP 95.
