So today while painting some trim on my car, some of the bodyworks paint came away when I was removing the masking tape. Does any one have any recommendations or experience with these kind of guyslike Autotouch, TouchUpGuys or Final Touch?

The damage in question,

Thanks,
Pete

Well I went to FinalTouch in Albany to see what they would do. No go unfortunatly, however he did make up some touch up paint and put some on for me. Its not the best job, but it will suffice.

The guy was pretty gruff to deal with (I think he was expecting some fancy new car or classic!) but he touched it up for Zero dollars which was nice.

So while I cant recommend them per se, They seemed professional enough for me!

sorry was away didn't see this. I work for Car Colors in albany (we sell PPG and the like) we could have matched it up for you also. touch up guy is local and has delt with us for years great guy.

good to hear you got it sorted though.

suggest next time you gett better masking tape will save you a head ache in the long run tape is a very cheap thing to get a better one.

Cheers for the reply, I still need some paint work done, so might need to hit you up!

Annoyingly with the tape, I thought I had bought better stuff. I think next thime I should try and get what cap painters use rather than stuff from Mitre 10...
