A little birdy told me your pics were up on groundsky Oh dear and those pretty orange barriers all mucked up

Those things full of water are heavy, so for them to fly you must have been going pretty fast through there.

More pics of car number 329. The pics are impressive and that you can almost see where he went.

Am glad the car is looking pretty straight again,,, oh aaaand the owner too. ;}

Some quite good photos there
Apparently there were some great from the stands when I did it!
I was quite surprised in one of the photos as to how much my 14 year old daughter was thrown to the side - you can see her just as we were hitting the armco on my side of the car.
The pictures don't show us hitting the armco on the other side - not sure whether I hit the front or the back first - but I managed to get both & left the middle . My side much more in the middle on my door
Oh well - it's all back anyway

Who's ready for a track day soon? Hot laps anyone

PS He's a b.. big bird!

Yes I can amagine that would have been quite impressive from the stands.

I probably wont get my car out too many times as I am saving her for the November sprints in Taupo. So you will have to join us for that. I already got the forms emailed out to me for that one. The other reason for not going anywhere at moment is that my car has dropped second gear and very dodgy in first, makes driving very interesting. After looking at it today it seems I need a new reactor bearing at the tie rod assembly end of the shifting mechanism. Grrr dam Renault box, so I have to get the lotus people out to confirm and fix this. After thats all done I am free to do anything. Anyway I can come out and make sure your oil cap is on for the next time....were good at that

Ooohh - that last part is really harsh. Unfortunately true - but very harsh!
When are the sprints in November? I am planning to go to Europe at the beginning of November - immediately after the Targa - but this is still not definite. I would also be very worried after 900k's of racing & 1600 touring + drive home of the Targa itself.
Are you going out to the Marcos launch in October? I am certainly going to.

For those who want to look at my moments & not worked it out yet - www.groundsky.co.nz - Fortron Rallysprint - car 329

I'm still not quite sure about your comment about the owner looking straight again. Not sure if this is good or bad - or what I used to be like

Yeah if I had a healey I'd probably treat it more like an exotic hot-house plant than a car- although they're meant to be driven I know! Not exactly the ideal wet weather car though so I imagine here in Auckland it would be a rare treat to be out driving one.

A Healey would be very nice. There's an awesome one in the Targa
Strangely enough - I think my next car might be a Mk2 Jag - especially a 3.8 or 3.4. Anyone know of any available?

I know a guy who was on the Jaguar Committee last year that would possibly know of a contact if you get real keen on a MK2

I think you should get yourself into a Loti,.... but I would say that wouldn't I

Two esprits on trademe at the mo which is a rare sight Then you could join us at the official opening of the new Lotus cars going to be a good night
