Hi team

Have you seen these (I might be slow off the rank but they have blown me away)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1kCG-WqpVnI

I can't believe the stats on it and for $50,000 (usd) that sounds like a very good option instead of a 7 series or similar.

feed back???

I see the build your own option but that is old school

these seem to be a very good option for the future though.

I doubt you will need to replace all 7000 batteries in 3 years hoping they will have a swap out the dead one option

Having worked in the Telephony industry for over 12 years and performing maintenance on PABX batteries (similar to car batteries) some can be good for 5-10 years continuous use but most I've come across seem to reach their end-of-life after 3-5 years. We would without questioning replace the emergency service PABX batteries after 3 years and would always replace a full set of 4 cells even if only one cell was at fault or not holding its charge.
I would have assumed this would be the case for the Tesla batteries which could end up being a costly experience.

According to their website http://www.teslamotors.com/models/options the battery warranty is 8 years or 100000 miles for their smallest 40kW battery which delivers a range of 160 miles on a full charge. The warranty on the biggest 85 kW battery is 8 years with unlimited miles and that gets you a range of 300 miles. On the Tesla Motor Forum someone stated that it's USD30000 to replace the batteries or there is a prepay option for USD12000.
