What a great day
Awesome to meet some of you - but we must get together and meet properly
I really enjoyed the instructing bit - and then getting into the faster seesions - pleased to see the Capri reasonably well behaved. Did crack a rotor though which bothers me some.

I had a ride in the Noble. What an amazing car - just point & shoot. Talk about tracking and remaining placid under what would be very interesting offs in my cars. Just as well I didn't have my cheque book with me.
Amazing power - and the thing for me was amazing power when not in a straight line. Also - backing off when in the Capri I would be doing those strange rotating things hoping I don't hit too much - the Noble just tracks it through without any apparent effort
Wow.

Ah yes I would have loved to have been the dead-weight for someone- I guess I didn't pimp out my services enough! I guess another time, I'll keep my hopes up! I was extremely stoked to finally see some TVRs in the flesh, what magic cars, I['ll just HAVE to own one one day... and scab the odd ride in one before hand! AND the Lotus'!!! I'm extremely happy I made it out to the track and will certainly try to go more often.

Ahh yes the Noble, I had to ask to drive it as you do, Roger B made me but got turned down in a polite kinda way, surprise surprise. But he saved me till last and we pretty much had an open track Yeeehaaaaa! what a blast he gave it pretty full noise on the straights and pushing quite hard on the corners, so I was damn stoked. Its a true racing machine alright. The growl from inside the cabin is lovely Perhaps a drive next time

Howd that happen? I got to say, one lap cool down isn't quite enough sometimes, so when I can be bothered I rock the car backwards and forwards in the pits...but I look like a right dick doing it as most people don't know what I am doing and offer to help push it for me Good old George R told me to do that from his cracked rotor experience on the targa.

I always push / move the car as you say Kylie - it's essential - else warped rotors etc. It's also essential to have that cool down lap - I've boiled my brake fluid on the 911 in the early days when I didn't do it properly.
But I felt it go under heavy braking on the back straight - the heaviest braking I had done all day as I felt like pushing it a bit more, and my passenger was enjoying it.
It was the last lap anyway, and as the rotors cooled the crack got worse. I limped home OK, and will take it in this morning. Luckily I've got some new rotors in my office at work!

Agreed, it WAS a fantastic day, I brought my helmet along but unfortunately something popped up and I wasn't able to hang around long enough to blag rides being given away..... not to worry..... might talk to a couple of my friends who've got some rather flash japanese machinery so I can actually bring something to the party in the absence of my machine. However after talking to Jamie and Paul, I'm pretty adament my engine budget's just expanded AGAIN as I'm currently about to place an order for some Wildcat Engineering RV8 heads (I've heard they take a while) so that when I finally manage to get the engine together, the 350-400bhp region should be explorable! I'm thinking allied with some quad throttle bodies (two of them!) that this motor might go quite well after all ...... should be a rather lairy trackday machine when finished :P

Oh dear what have I done you should be telling me revenge is sweet!!! If I can remember there was a whole bunch of traffic in front of us and I pulled out to secure the inside line trying to do a safe move which meant I could line up to recover on the bend and not in the marbles. It was a matter of who was willing to take everyone on and I thought what the heck and just planted the boot, just a drag race. So I guess I had just enough to nip me infront.

I wanted you me and Geo to hoon around together and have a drag race down the back, but we all seemed spread out too far. I tried hard to catch up to you a few times but too many slowish cars blocking me, plus that tire chicaine down the back didn't help. Just quietly I think Geo better watch his back..lol Don't tell him though otherwise the chips will defintely come out of his top undies draw.
