Hi Folks,

Just wondering if you lot have anyone to recommend for insuring my Cerbera this coming week?

I have had laid up cover for the past two years through Classic Cover, but the full on the road premium has come back at $785 for the year. With a 5k limited milage also.

I see this as on the expensive side. Or am I wrong in thinking that?

This is for an agreed value of $60K, so maybe I should drop this figure down and see what difference it makes?

What sort of premiums are you paying and with who for similar cars?

Cheers

Dave...

Hi Dave,

I went with Classic Cover for my T350 at first, based on the value being $50,000 and 5k per year it was $804, then I switched to 'Prestigio' with an agreed value of $110,000, 5k per year plus track day cover - $1065 per year.

Hope that helps.

Sounds pretty good for a car of that sort of value?

I own two Nissan Skylines and pay about $400 or so for full cover (each) a year. Mind you, both are worth much less than $6,000 i'd say.

It was actually $685 for 60K vlaue, which I still thought was high?

I have spoke to a few folks at work and they say it sounds not too bad. I suppose I was just used to my multi car policy when I was back in the UK. I was paying heaps less then.

For $50k the premium will be $530. I might just go for the lesser value option.

Just a tight arse at the end of the day!!

Cheers for your comments...
