65 years of TVR at Ellerslie Classic Car show in February

This year is the 65th anniversary of TVR.
To celebrate, we are planning a larger contingent at the Classic Car Show, Ellerslie on Sunday 12th February.
We are planning a meeting in Taupo on Saturday 11th, with the northern cars driving down to meet the southern cars coming up.
Then convoy up to Auckland for a get together and dinner in the evening, with the show the next day.

Is this show any good, not been before - thinking about flying up on the Sunday for a day trip and wondered if it would be worth the trip. How many TVRs likely to be there?

I like doing the Fun Run on the Saturday. It's a different format this year. Instead of all starting at Ellerslie and heading off to different destinations, the runs are starting at five different locations with everyone finally converging on Vellenoweth Green in St Heliers.

Are the TVRs turning up there or do you have your own agenda?

Hi Johnny.....we have our own agenda this year....several of the northern group are driving down to Taupo to meet up with the southern cars coming up....after a lunch, we drive back up to Auckland and have a dinner planned later in the night....then the show on Sunday.....just hope the weather is good to us.
But we must also organise a Auckland Pistonhead drive soon.

I'd be up for that. Can't recall an Auckland Pistonhead outing since Kylie's move south. Although there is plenty on the calendar until the end of February. (Ellerslie, V8 Supertourers, Galaxy of Cars, etc.) Then there is not much until the Red Baron Rally in June.
