The countdown begins - Mount Panorama, Bathurst - Sunday October 9th.

Real cars, real drivers, 1000km, 161 laps, 200kph oversteer every lap, 300kph side by side down Conrod, 300kph through Australia's fastest bend, two wheels through Skyline and the Dipper, footwell cam, dash cam, suspension cam, tyre cam and now.........diff cam scratchchin

Who's watching?

Who's going?

What do you do?

What do you eat?

And Drink?

Who's got the biggest TV?

Can you write off 10 hours of your life watching motorsport?

Is you sofa comfy enough?

Do you make racing car noises?

Sit, watch, eat, drink, laugh at Holdens breaking down, rant about Fords breaking down.

BBQ, Chips, anything else I find.

Beer. And sometimes other stuff. But mostly beer.

Certainly not me, but I do have a half-decent sound setup connected to it.

Quite easily as it turns out. Even easier if I'm spending it out in the wops dashing between rally stages tbh.

Yup.

Going away for the weekend (unfortunately)

Be lucky to watch the rugby let alone 7 hours of motor racing so just hoping to catch the last couple of hours :-(

And for the record I have never made motor noises while watching TV

Who's watching?
- Me, for the first time in years (now i've quit my job)

Who's going?
- Not me. Never been out of NZ in my 28 years (never even been in a plane bigger than a Cessna - unless you count the fighter jets in videogames like Ace Combat wink).

What do you do?
- Watch all/most of the race and cheer on Ford.wink

What do you eat?
- Prolly not much, just lunch and maybe an apple or something.

And Drink?
- Water most likely. Its cheep.

Who's got the biggest TV?
- Mine is biggish (46"), but unlikely the biggest.

Can you write off 10 hours of your life watching motorsport?
- Yep. Just as easily doing the same thing gaming, driving etc.

Is you sofa comfy enough?
- Not really, you sink into it and its hard for old men like me to try stand up out of it.tongue out

Do you make racing car noises?
- Usually in my head, but in there i'm in the drivers seat passing everyone.biggrin

Some of us will be having our own Bathurst Day, as we do each year, at Pukekohe Raceway.

Along with a bunch of other car enthusiasts we'll be taking people for rides around the track to raise money for a number of children's charities.

The great race will also be screened trackside for people to watch.

Some scenes from last year.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvn-6ZLqpeE
