Hi Folks, been a lurker on here for long enough, thought i would sign up and say hello

Here's a wee bit about my pride and joy smile

Picked up the car I've always wanted a month ago..

Absolutely thrilled with it smilesmile
Completely night and day from the clubsport smile have a few ideas in my head for things I'd like to do but for now it'll just need a good detail and get driven.

Anyways here's a couple of pics after a quick wash.
Will stick up some more when I get her detailed.

2003 Carbon Black
FBMWSH
Grey Leather
Manual 6Sp

Was up with the folks in Sound In Motion in Londonderry and got my Alpine idxa 305s with parrot, steering wheel controls and changer fitted. Treated her to some JL audio components sounds 1000 times better now smile
Next on the list is a pair of co-axials for the rear
Then trying to hunt down the JL audio active subs they did years ago for the e46 but stopped making frown
These sit in the rear speaker holes and just give a lovely wee punch.

Brilliant service from shane and Paul smile

purchased led rear lights with smoked tops and dark front indicators off carl at bmstyling, fantastic service and would recommend him to anyone...

secondly, spent the last 3 days detailing and have a few pics of the finished product.. i thought it was in relatively good condition until i got the halogens on after it was clayed and well it wasn't, whoever had it before me either used a yardbrush or paid some of the polish or whatever to wash it with a brillo pad.

Detail process was as follows..

Snowfoamed with Reflection Perfection Ph Neutral Snow foam
Washed via 2 bucket method with Sonus Lambswool washmitt and Cartec Ph Neutral Shampoo
Dried with CYC Microfibre drying towel
Clayed with Bilthammer Soft Clay Last Touch used as lubricant

Machining.

Das6 Pro with

Orange Hexlogic Pad and Menzerna P085 RD3.02 and S100 Powergloss for a couple of more stubborn parts like the boot lid, bonnet and roof

Green Hexlogic Pad and Menzerna 203s

White Hexlogic Pad and Menzerna 106fa

Blue Hexlogic Pad and Dodo Juice Lime Prime

LSP
2 coats of Dodo Juice Supernatural applied 12 Hours apart.

Other..

Arches dressed with Meguiars Silicone Free Dressing

Tyres Dressed with Autosmart Trim Wizard

Glass - Meguiars Professional Glass Cleaner

Leather - Cleaned with Sonus Leather Cleaner and German Applicator Pad, Fed with Zymol Leather Conditioner
Exhaust tips cleaned and polished with 00 wire wool and autosol, refined with meguiars all metal polish

Dash dressed with Poorboys Natural Look Dressing

Anyhow on with the pics....

thanks to graham curry for these rolling shots he took for me

really looking forward to getting the large format one smilesmile

couple of pics smilesmile

Have a few other plans including csl rear diffuser, maybe a simota carbon induction system, milltek exhaust.

Many thanks for looking smile

Gorgeous car.

Love the pic with the PSNI cars. Reflections show the shine off it. Superb.

We work down the back road that some of those pictures have been taken on... little known fact is that a portion of that road is private... double edged sword which means that the regular police have trouble if trying to argue the laws of the road but be careful... the owner of the land has probably not given permission for you to be on it!

thankfully i had spoken with the harbour police before arranging the meet and they had had no issue and given the full go ahead smile wouldn't want to be trespassing.
