My brother has a Rover 600 that he needs shot of. Tax and MOT just expired. Needs a CV joint, a window regulator and the AC fixed. Decent tyres on it and pretty presentable. Seems a shame to scrap frown Can anyone help with a place to take the car to, to weigh it in? Belfast, County Down area preferred. Cheers.

T-Met, Clearways etc. Just phone around to see who is paying the best first.

Or some of them will come and lift it off you.

You'd be as well to advertise it though. Free ads, Gumtree etc

Advertise it on gumtree, but if you cant be bothered with the hassle, then scrap it as follows.

  • Remove the headlights and tail lights, flog them on ebay.
  • Remove the stereo, flog it on ebay
  • Remove the wheel trims if decent, flog on ebay.
  • Take the battery out, sell seperately or keep
  • Cut the CAT off - and sell it seperately to the breakers - worth £50-60 but they wont tell you that
  • If they are picking the car up, loosen the wheel nuts, then when they lift it, take the rims off and remove the spare. Sell the tyres seperately on gumtree.
