The Motor Gym - NI's premier DIY vehicle workshop
Discussion
Hi Folks
We've just opened up a DIY garage facility in Balloo Avenue, Bangor and we're set up so that anyone can carry out repairs and/or service their own vehicles in a purpose built unit, in a warm, dry and friendly atmosphere.
We're equipped with car lifts, motorcycle lifts, headlight alignment equipment, air tools and hand tools - all of which is available to the public to rent on a time basis. We're fully insured and have a mechanic on site most of the time in case you need assistance or advice.
All 3 business partners are from a motorsport background (sprints / hills, rallying & karting) and we will also have corner-weight scales and basic alignment tools to facilitate car set-up.
A lift bay is £20 per hour and a non-lift bay is £8.50 per hour (all + VAT). Minimum charge is 1 hour per bay and after that we bill in 15min increments - so, for example, if you're here for 1hr 10mins you only get charged for 1.25hrs, not 2. And if a few of you want to block book a ramp for half a day to work on several cars the price goes down even further - we don't charge by the car, only the time the ramp is occupied.
We also run a tiered membership scheme (ranging from £5 to £30 per month) which will make members eligible for further discounts on bay and tool hire, as well as discounts from some affiliated companies.
For further info please visit our website (www.themotorgym.com) , email us ( info@themotorgym.com ), telephone us (02891 453310) or search for our group page on Facebook.
We're open from 9am (11am on Sundays) until 10pm 7 days a week and have a dedicated upstairs rest area with tea & coffee facilities - we also sell cold snacks and drinks.
Feel free to drop in to see us anytime, even if it's just for a nosey! With the winter months almost upon us, we're also currently offering free 21-pt vehicle health checks in association with Castrol - anyone availing of a health check can also get their car interior vacuumed for £5.
