Hi,
I feel like I'm butting in on a TVR forum - but I'll carry on. Would any of you guys mind a Lotus Esprit owner turning up for one of the 'meets'? Does anyone here do track days and if so, where? I'm off to Castle Combe at the end of May and am looking for some advice - as the only track experience I've had is a corporate day at the Bedford Autodrome

Hi Deepblue - lovely Esprit - I'm sure you'd be very welcome at runs and track days - you'd need to talk to our esteemed RO ColinL. He'll be along here sometime in the not too distant future. Tell us more about your Lotus please - it's a great colour.

Where do you live? I'm in sunny Newcastle.

She's a '95 S4. I've left her pretty much as standard apart from braided clutch hose, K&N panel filter, S/S sports exhaust, CAT 1 alarm and Pentagon tints. I'm considering removing the 'cat', but am wary in-case it would fail MOT/track day scrutineering. Also thinking of upgrading the chip and changing the front brakes to Tarox 325mm 6 pots (4 pot Brembos don't inspire much confidence) I'm also toying with the idea of changing the wheels to 18" & 19" - the car can take this upgrade ok but I'm concerned of this turning it into a tacky Max Power machine!?

Thanks Colin, I'll try and make it to the Hillside - though if this snow keeps up it won't be in the Lotus.

Let me make it very clear to all
I have no interest in looking after horses
But i have been conscripted into it
Colin I can assure you it is coming to you
and i will even tell joan that you can use the horse box any time so get a tow bar for the Chimaera.

That reminds me - any chance of some horse sh*t for my roses? Must be well rotted though - none of the steaming variety.

The word is the Tuscan owners want to deliver it to your house in a muck spreader and if you are luck some of it might hit your roses

Ermm.... I realise that all these fast expensive cars will frown upon my motor but thought I'd post in to say I have a novel little sports car for sale if anyone is interested. Probably suit as a runabout with cheap tax and insurance.

www.realwebdesign.biz/x99 for pics.

Any offers? Email me if you need more details.

Rick sorry but if we wanted a TT we would buy a real one. Not!!!!!!

I am sure its a great car, but it is a bit to much like the TT and they are getting cheaper as TT drivers change to some real sports cars.

Sorry, didnt realise that everyone on here was rolling in money. The TT is well beyond my reach as is the insurance on any sportscar (never mind the asking price!)and I'm 30. Guess the house and kids swallow up too much money plus driving aint that big of deal to me.

PS: Someone started a thread asking why no-one posts. Think I've got a fair idea. not many people can afford to 'be in the elitest crew' of N.I. pistonhead forum users. I'm away back to the kit car forum.

No not all Phers are TVR owners they just live here by default because no one else joins in You don't have to be a TVR owner to be a Petrol head in N.I. and most clubs here welcome other model owners The island is too small for folks to be elitest we all need to pull together especially with plods attitude
Saying that anybody got an up-to-date list of camera sites and does anyone know which detector family upgrades their database with the N.I. locations.
