There's a very good chance that they were 998's. Porsche have used Donegal as a testing ground on numerous occasions before, I came across 2 Panamera's in Glenties while they were still in development. They were stopped for fuel so asked the drivers what was going on and they were really friendly told me that Porsche used Ireland as theres such a fast array of road surfaces/types.will2020 said:

I'd never of thought of Donegal as a testing ground.. It's pretty cool though, I'd love to see them out sometime.
Ive seen a few other disguised cars near Antrim too. Although I think maybe Merc's or something.
Lets face it...it can be a tough test. Crap road conditions ( but some good driving roads ) crap fuel, crap weather.
Its a good test for any vehicle ! lol
Plus with it being a fairly rural area, chances of them getting busted ( either by papers or cops ) during testing is slim.
