pistonheads run. where to stay? things to do?

i'm going up to the run (from dublin). myself and the girl friend are thinking of making a weekend of it? can anyone recommend a place to say with in reasonable distance of the starting point (40 or 50 miles?) and if there is anything you'd recommend doing or going to see in the area?

if anyone wants somewhere a bit more personnal to stay theres a couple of lovely farmhouse b&b's just up the road from me.....private secure parking, less than 10 miles from the sunday morning start and a stunning breakfast!

i was thinking of doing this drive on the saturday up to the giants cause way from belfast along the coast road. what is the road like? is it worth doing?
