yeah Ive a vx220 and interested in an Irish meet, theres a thread going atm on vx220.org with some suggestions of locations but tbh there hasnt been alot of recent action on the thread and Ive a bit of work to do on the car this month, but Ill be giving everyone who showed interest on there a shout when I get my car sorted and try to get a set date and location.
I dunno if youre a member of vx220.org so ill send you a PM on here aswell.

for now one suggestion (mine lol) is meet in Newry and run to Newcastle, and back through the forest to kilbroney park in Rostrevor for a stop and craic with a barbeque.
its gonna be open to everybody not just vx's so if anyone here is intrested stick a reply on here and Ill keep you posted when its time to look at ppls days off etc.

going by other peoples figures there are about 20 vx220's in ireland north and south combined (3 i know were damaged beyond repair) so if we can even get 10 that would be a great turnout with a few other marks added from anyone interested on here. Theres 2 i know of in belfast that arent on any of the forums so ill give them a note on the window and my number to see if they are interested too.

Hi I've a VXT and would definitely be up for a meet. Have only seen a handful of other VX's in sunny NI so would be good to get them all out for a run.

Sounds good. I'm hopefully heading down to the TVR CC Track day at Kirkistown on the 31st if I get the ABS cut out in time (it's nearly killed me a few times on bumpy roads in the wet!) Hopefully get a VX meet soon.

Didn't realise you'd killed your ABS on purpose! Was it a fault or just no good? The car was running well without it yesterday anyway.

common prob when tracking vx's the ABS kicks in much much too early most ppl replace it with the exige unit if theyre tracking their car.

Saw a blue VX220 yesterday evening abandoned on the verge at Tillysburn just before exit towards Ikea. Wonder if it came a cropper on the big ramp that's on the road just below Tesco? Someone is going to get bumper damage going down it.

Yes, Exige ABS is excellent - the only place it kicked in for me was coming up to Colonial 1 - barely noticeable, and that was on a sodden track

Yeah, I found my ABS was going into 'ice-mode' much too often, and when braking over any rough ground. Even at 5-10mph. So I now have a switch controlling it and it will most likely remain off until MOT times and when I finally get around to buying and installing and exige unit.

Saw the blue VX travelling along Massey Avenue the other day... must have been just before it had its 'incident'. Hope it and its owner are ok. Anyone fancying a meet feel free to post on the vx220.org.uk site, or below. Would be good to get a run out especially before the weather gets worse than it is at the minute!
