Hi Guys,

We have an S-type jag in the household which is now out of its inital warranty period. As expected, servicing with Hursts is horrible so I was wondering whether there is anywhere else in Northern Ireland (preferably belfast area) that is specialist in Jags?? Can only Hursts put on an official stamp?

Thanks

Adam

Can't offer any specialist who does Jags, but an option would be to make contact with the Jag owners club(s) and se who their members, from here, use.

Why do you find Hursts horrible? We have used them twice and found them to be great. Then again we are from the South were very bad service is the norm.

Oh how wrong one can be.
had the car serviced on Monday and they tried to charge us for work that was done less than a month ago and there was a mysterious 5 hours labour charge on the bill that could not be accounted for. Definitely wont be back, the guy in service was clearly trying to rip us off.

Taking my car there next week so I'll let you know. He sounds good speaking to him yesterday, and was recommended by an indie dealer to me.

I really hope you are joking me. Specialist Auto's would not know one end of a car from the other, never mind a Jag.

I use David/Greg Connolly Torqeflyte at Ballygowan for all my servicing (not just TVR, do my Saab and wife's SLK as well)

Yea, I use Greg for the TVR and the Ford's. I would recommend him to anyone as he knows his car's inside and out (plus its a bloody decent bloke too!)

I did take my XJR to the jag indie near Lisburn/Ravarnett - Stephen Groves, tel 028 9268 9006.
He serviced the car, checked the cam chains/tensioners etc and said they were all in good condition needing no immediate work, although he would change the tensioners if I wanted him to.
As yet he hasn't sent me a bill even though I have reminded him - he does seem very busy but he was friendly and helpful and seems to know his stuff.
