Hi All

Hope you are all enjoying the snow!

Just failed MOT for several things, but one was for damage to one of the alloy wheels (didn't know this was a MOT failure?).

Can anyone reccommend a repair compnay in NI?

TIA

Wow...the damage must have been very bad for them to fail it ??

Nu-Luk Wheels in Carrickfergus do a superb job.

Agree with Steve Nu Lok in Carrickfergus, first rate job and not that expensive.

Alternatively Billy Lester at Lester Engineering is a alloy welding wizard and will do an invisible repair for you. Lester Engineering are on the Moira Road, Lisburn.

Sounds like what I need and they are just down the road from me. Cheers.

I didn't think the damage was that bad. It certainly doesn't look unsafe at all. I think I didn't replace the brake retaining spring properly after changing the front pads, and this cut a small groove in the alloy. That will teach me!

I too had terible experience with Nu Luk with my Merc wheels last year. Me and mates now call them 'crap luk!' In the end went elsewhere, much cheaper and vastly superior service than Carrick bunch!

Interesting indeed. We've had about a dozen sets of wheels done by them, mostly painting, and their work was excellent.
