One of the main reasons I moved into Belfast, to escape the westlink hell.. (I work on the M2 side of Belfast, so its 10 minutes to work now!)

Unfortunately the place I work is moving to the Lisburn side of Belfast, so I have to travel over the westlink come the new year.. Sods law..

Still might give the future TVR time to warm up - lol..

hillsborough roundabout is a carpark in the mornings. and as said above, the M1 is pretty wank too.
Dromore aint bad to be fair, just in abit of a time warp.

yeah im under no illusion its bad, really bad hopefully ill get away with the backroads to carryduff - saintfield or the hillhall. i work flexi time and probably travelling around 7ish so probably heading in before the real rush.

wondering will it be any better after the roadworks are eventually finished

Live East Belfast, work East Belfast.

Up and back down M2 5 times in last week. Can't imagine doing that every day of the week, no ta!

Know the feeling, also east belfast and working in east belfast, 8 mins from front door to work

going to be more like 60 mins in future. although at the minute drop the misses into town first then back out to work in the morning takes 30min and night about 40 min.

I pity anyone who works in Belfast, and has to use the M1...

Ive been heading countrybound to work some mornings, and see how far the tailbacks are...and I start at 8am !!!!

Even the M2 heading home ( Im in Antrim working near Holywood now ) ) with the roadworks is lethal. I try and avoid it at all costs.
I now find it quicker to head onto the shore road, across the Antrim road, Ballysillan, then Hightown etc.
Its surprising that some of the minor routes have relatively light traffic which makes for a more relaxed journey.

I also dont think the Hillhall route during peak times, will be traffic free.
