And you'd all be made very welcome - with a wee soda farl and a drop of tea in your hand!

You might even get a black bush if you're very good.

Agreed Albert - how's your Vauxhall going? Sorry Opel - you see there's another difference between NI and Ireland.

OscarT

PS I do wish Gryf Rhys Jones hadn't advertised those in his underpants - what an unfortunate association for a great wee machine.

Hi Albert

Currently I have a Land Rover Discovery for everyday use and three toys - a TVR Griffith, an Alfa Romeo Spider 2000 Veloce and a Triumph TR6.

Greeting from Hong Kong. Looks like I missed all the fun wink

Oscar any chance of some pics of the Griffith - lovely motors.

Edited to add, any chance of getting the threads back to motors. I don,t think the handful who commented are enough to join the forums. OscarT, feel free to join us or meet the gang on Octane.ie who organise meets on the Island of Ireland smile

Thank you Irish and Shark11

What about organising meetings on the island of Tahiti, Jamaica, Barbados, Tenerife, Cyprus or Malta - nowhere else feels the need to describe themselves as the island of ----. Why do some Irishmen feel the need to talk in terms of the Island of Ireland, the North of Ireland, etc? Everyone knows that geographically Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland share the same island - you don't hear Canadians of citizens of the United States of America going on about the island of North America.

Just an observation.
