Guys,

Following on from this:

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0...

Extract:

"I was thinking about this earlier. Am I the only one who spends their time looking in both the NI and IRL forums?....both are in my PH favourites. Anyone for one regional Ireland section? Same trackdays, servicing issues (especially given the mushrooming of TVRs in the south and the joy of using Charles Hurst for porker, fezza and aston martin) and doubling the "for sale" updates exposure.

Anyhow, hey ho.....just some musings from London from someone who has lived North and South (and is responsibe from getting Ted to set up the Ireland page in the international forum all those years ago...oh the memories).

Adrian"

Any views out there?

One forum would be better, I think the vast majority here post in both.

It is also notable that a lot of propel double post once in each section. Kind of a vote for one section in itself and repetitive to read.

Definitely NOT - two separate identities and car cultures - two forums are better than one.

I think you are right but the car cultures are getting much more aligned in the last 5 years.

The numbers of Tivs arriving down south being just one example of that.

Perhaps we need to await the days when car enthusiasts attend both the Kirkstown and Mondello track days....

I think there should be one Irish regional forum. There is so much knowledge, expertise and happenings in both places which would be of mutual benefit to everyone.

For there to be just ONE regional forum the Republic would have to be dissolved allowing it to once again become a region of the UK.

At present Northern Ireland has a Regional Forum and Ireland has an International forum

Why not just wait until Gerry and Martin get us all in an United Ireland? Our great great great great grandchildren can then compare notes on their atomic powered time machines - maybe!

I don't think PH does politics.....or that any of us mexicans would mind being in a Regional PH forum.

We can even have one location for the rugby thread!

Why not convene en masse in one of the other forums and take it over, thus establishing a de-facto single 'Ireland' forum? It would be no different from what we already do to Santa Ponca every summer smile

Yeah let's have a **NKY forum just for Kinky and Funky then.

In fact anyone with NKY preceded by a consonant and a vowel can join up.
