Chimaera rear screen
Discussion
Hi Buzzsaw
I have a very good original TVR black mohair hood which has had a replacement screen stitched in by Niall Scarlett, upholsterer from Portadown. It's surplus to my needs.
If you're interested in buying it from me give me an email. Could work out cheaper than fixing yours and you'd be left with a spare just incase you need it in future.
I'm in Newcastle.
Alan

Hello Colin.
Hopefully be at the track day in May (as a spectator) and might take a few more pictures. (Maybe I could persuade someone to take me for a couple of laps in exchange for a few pics of them going round?)
Not sure beyond that unfortunately as I'm thinking of selling the Chimaera, because I'm really not using it enough.

Buzzsaw - did you get sorted out with a new rear screen?
Mine has just developed a split about 3" long so I need to get it replaced asap.
Did you use Trevor Larmor or buy the spare one form Roberto?
Thanks

Hi John
Screen is with Trevor as we speak.
Should get it back before Easter and will let you know how I get on.
Cheers
Got the hood back yesterday.
Seems like a decent job but haven't really had a chance to look at it in detail yet. Original stitch lines have been followed for the most part, although one corner has wavered off the original line. I'm going to try refitting tonight. Replacement screen is softer (thinner?) than original so will probably be easier to fold down.
