Just read on UTVlive site that there was an attempted hijack of a TVR in Belfast on Sunday morning. The driver was assaulted in the incident. Hopefully it was no one on here.

I assume as it was only an attempted carjacking the culprits didn't know how to use a plank under the wheels so that they could fit their tolley jack under the chassis - see what a great anti-theft device.

Well at present no more information on the driver. Not a TVRCC member that we are aware off.

If anyone knows the driver please contact and let us know that he is OK please.

He is the boss of a good friend of mine. Apparently he was coming back from their staff Christmas dinner when it happened. He got away with a few cuts and bruises thankfully, and he was also able to identify the halyions who attacked him when the police caught up with them. Happy days

Hi, got the full story today. A person walked out infront of him appearing to be drunk, he stopped and got out of the car asking the person to get out of the way. He was then set upon by two others and a short fight followed. The TVR hero of the day, made it back into his car and left the scene in reverse at speed and went to the local cop shop.

The cops then with the help of the TVR hero then went back to the scene and he was able to identify two of the three involved.

The PSNI have stated that he saved lives by getting back into the car.

Good man.

Forget Superman! What we really want is a TVR driving hero! Good on the guy!
