Irish Lotus owners/enthusiasts
Discussion
Hi Everyone!
I'm currently working at Lotus cars in Hethel for just over three months gaining valuable work experience for the final year of my Automotive Management & Technology degree back in Dublin. I'm very keen on setting up a Lotus owner and enthusiast club on my return to Ireland. So I'm just looking for any Irish members or anyone that knows any Irish owners (north or south). I basically just want to see if there might be sufficient interest for a club and to organise frequent events at different venues across Ireland.
Rob!

Hi there, lovely to meet you. I'm currently running a Lotus Elise 111r and have been at many of the Lotus trackdays in Mondello and one of the Vip days they run. I've also been to Kirkston but as i live in the very south of ireland its a long journey up, so not the easiest to make. I've also been over to the uk to track at silverstone but despite my best intentions unfortunatly i havn't been to any of the other uk tracks. It must be amazing getting work experiance at the factory, best of luck with it!
Hi Funky,
Great to meet you, we may have met before as I've done quite a few of the track days at Mondello and Kirky, I've been driving my dads storm titanium 111R alongside him gaining as much experience as I can (hes an excellent driver and tutor). Keep your eye's peeled on the forums if you are interested in joining the club when it eventually gets set up! I'll be at the VIP track day in Mondello on the 16th of sep so may see you there?
P.S. Great pic of the car by the shore!

Great purchase. Linder’s as you probably know do official servicing for Ireland and so far have been very good for me. You also get lots of invites to track days by them which is great for having a go in their new stuff and meeting other Lotus owners.
There are two independents in the North, details at the below thread.

John Larkin is the person you need to speak to if you are interested at the below email address. Apologies if you have read this before:
Irish Lotus Owners
We got five Lotus cars and about ten owners together in October 2005. We have about 25 on my list now.
Two Lotus meetings are planned for 2007 (31st March and 23rd June, both Saturdays). The first will probably be based near Dublin and the second in the midlands, and will be one-day gatherings with a drive and lunch. Details will be sent out to all names on our register before the end of January 2007. We will be looking for feedback about what types of events are preferred and we may organise a track day if enough people are interested.
If you are interested please email your interest to John Larkin lotus@z1.ie
