Did anyone here attend the launch of the Northern Ireland 'Autobahn Club' last night at the Culloden Hotel?
yeah....some lovely cars. not sure if i'll join tho, £1000 per month would pay off a very nice car which you can drive when you want. can see the advantages of it tho.
yeah very nice. didnt see too many signing up on the night....hope it goes ok for them though cos they obviously put alot of money into it.
i was in my black 996 turbo, parked on the back wall.
do u deal with hurst specialist? i went in when i was buying and prob wasnt dressed right or maybe cos im under 30 but the guy made no effort and when i eventually went over to him he never even stood up or introduced himself, just looked up while still writing and fobbed me off, i decided it wasnt worth the effort and went to england. sometimes get so frustrated with garages over here and there attitudes in comparison to when u walk into a performance car showroom on the mainland.
anyway my mate has a f355 so if your ever up for coming for a sunday blast with us let me know.

I've spoken with Jamie Patterson briefly - one of the founders of Autobahn - and nothing would please me more than were it all to be a mega success - as you say they've put a lot of time, trouble and effort into the venture, so here's a cheers to them - such a business is long overdue in the North.
I had my last car serviced with Charles Hurst, and always found Jim (manager of the service dept.) a delight to deal with. A slightly different story perhaps, when it came to selling my car on 'appro' with them, but in fairness, both salesmen I have dealt with recently have been very helpful. I'm sorry to learn you had a 'difficult' experience with them and I suspect there's better 'value' to be had else - where, etc.
Meantime, I'd be delighted to hook up with you and your mate for a drive sometime.
