Discussion
Hello everyone in Sunny Norn Iron.
The DOE has been left the roads in Newtownabbey lookin really rough lately and round where i live has been left with loose chippings. I cant understand why other cars feel the need to drive normally ffs!!! :furious:
Im getting really sick of the stone chips on the front of my Clio and the Autoglym polish is makin them look alot worse :( Can anyone recommend a good painter around the Belfast area?
Cheers

Hi
I gather that you need a good job on a Renault Clio.
If you want a really good standard at a very fair price then give Sam McMahon at Warrenpoint Body Repairs a call. It's easy to get a good finish if you pay a high price but it's not so easy to get a good finish for a moderate price - Sam's Yer Man!
Avoid all those over-priced Prima Donnas out there at all costs - a tradesman who thinks he's better than his customers should be well and truly booted up his jacksey.

Hi DavyCosworth
You've misunderstood me. My comments weren't directed at you or anyone else in particular. It was general advice based on my experiences over many years of restoring cars. I have no experience of Mr Stitt's work.
There's no need to pay inflated prices to tradesmen with inflated egos - there're no black arts or superhuman skills required to produce a good finish - it's all down to preparation and some elbow grease.

I dont know either painter, but I'm sure you will agree, if you really do want a good job done, you will pay whatever needs to be paid, ego or no ego.
Good painters/bodyshops ARE hard to find....

There it is in a nutshell.
Steve that granda of yours is lookins sweet in the photos. will you be at the causway ford fair?
No idea when that is, but at the minute...this years upgrades are still ongoing, so it isnt on the road just yet, and ironically, some of the work needing done is a bit of painting lol
It will not be left to anyone thats going to take ages over it. Job must be half decent, and the car on their premesis for the minimum time required to complete the job..
