DVLNI Belfast - New Office !!!
Discussion
Nothing like moving offices and not telling anyone...!!
Now in the old gasworks on the Ormeau Road.
Best bit...no where to park...at all...!!
If you do park anywhere on the old gasworks site you WILL get clamped, the barstewards were clamping like mad when I was there.
The offices themselves....all very nice, new very very low counters to suit disabled people in wheelchairs etc.
Where are THEY supposed to park ??
Well thought out that one..
Rant over.
Stu.

They dont care where you park...In fact, maybe they want you to park illegally, so they can fine you.
Im pretty sure if you have a disclaimer notice on your car, stating that if your vehicle is clamped, it will be forcibly removed, you are legally covered for removing it.
I read one time of someone who has stickers made for the wheel centres stating something to that effect.
If a notice warning of clamping is good enough for them, then a notice of you warnign them what will happen if you are clamped should be equally justified.
The last tax one I removed was a gift. The lock barrel was brass.. How hard is that to drill out with a cordless...lol
Although it may be far for some, Ballymena/County Hall is handier, as there is free parking there.

Bunch of baskets thet lot of em !!
I would normally have gone to B'mena but time was not on my side..
I like the counter sticker idea !!
A friend has a couple of petrol grinders he uses for his roofing buisness. One of those would make short work of removing a clamp.
The look on their faces would be priceless
