Who do you use, as I'm currently with Footman James and want to shop around. Most don't cover here though.

Ideally I'd like a multi classic car policy, with 3 cars on the road and 2 cars laid up.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I went with Sureterm Direct. Fully comp, 5000 miles, was about £110 for a Rover SD1 for a thirty-thirteen year old single male. £90 odd for the Scimitar.

Think they have changed name to Lancaster ins.

I had the Lotus with Footman James too but switched last year to Peter
Best, very friendly and helpful and considerably cheaper for comparable cover. Highly recommended !

Autoline/James Campbell & Co in Coleraine worth a try. I have used them for some years, although may try the 2 alternatives mentioned by others when renewals are due!

Hi Harry

I've used Autoline in Coleraine for the last few years with the even changing collection of knackered old Mercs.

Very pleasant and friendly on the phone and very happy until recently.

I had the 190e and the SEC on the same policy and when it came to renewal time I told them I wanted to take the 190e off as it was going on a normal policy (so I could use it to drive to work).

"No problem, good news, your premium will actually come down, by nearly £5". yeeeay.

3 months later I bought the E220T so I wanted to put the the 190e back on the classic policy again. Their usual admin fee for these sort of changes is a simple £15.

Rang them up - "no problem we can put the 190e back on, that'll be £38 please."

Eh? How does that work?

Thanks for the replies, hopefully one of them can insure off a chassis number, as the car is currently foreign registered.

Strange re the 190 John- how these companies make their calculations is beyond me....

Footman Jones aren't great for N.I.

They only cover a few postcodes, so won't suit everyone.

For three classics Abbey/Footman James wanted £429 to renew. Autoline/Allianz did it for £325 over the phone. Happy.

Any updates on this topic, currently with Autoline myself, but wondered about other options?

I ended up with Autoline, and have remained with them. Pleased with the service and prices. They now cover all my cars.

Cheers for that, was just wondering if Autoline has effectively cornered the NI Classic car insurance market, fullstop.

Anyone got other suggestions?

I took out a policy with classicline a couple of weeks ago. Haven't tried some of the options in this thread but did shop around and no one I tried could touch them, over £100 cheaper.
