vw passat lack of power and white smoke

hello can anyone help me i have a 98 tdi passat 90bhp have the car about 2 weeks car has alot of white smoke when i start her an when im driveing it wont let me go over 3000rpm car seems to be missing abit would that happen if there was an injector not working as a few people have told me thats what it is. has anyone else had this sort of fault?

Hi, sounds like head gasket, check coolant for oil and oil for coolant.

All that is fine i got it put onto a laptop earlier to day and its showing that an injector isnt working i never new an injectir would make a car so smokey and slow like i cant get the car to go over 3000rpm at all when im driven it. Pain in the hole like

Sounds a bit like my RAV4 last year, yes two injectors had gone. Ended up expensive as Hurst's were adamant that all four have to be replaced if this happens. Total cost £2500 ouch!
