Anybody know of a Porsche specialist in the North. I have a 1986 911 that won't start.

Had my first experience with George which was extremely positive. Sorted a very annoying squealing engine belt noise on my 996TT.
Which dealer couldn't resolve. So comes highly recommended from me!

George has amazing knowledge of Porsches. Also, just for the record, Alan McGookin is also very good and is in Ballyclare too.

Both contacts listed below:-

George McMillan 07803719911

Alan McGookin 07977002911

I'd agree, George is the man to go to. Helped me 2 years ago when I first entered into Porsche ownership !

Is George still the go to man in the north? Need a few jobs done on a car that is just out of warranty, possibly a service as well.

McMillan's reputation has been on the slide for the past few years, seems to have coincided with the move to larger premises and taking on more staff. I won't be going back after the rubbish but expensive level of service provided, I know several others who feel the same.

Alan at AMG cars in Ballyclare is now our go to guy.

Are you speaking from first hand experience?

I certainly wasn’t impressed by them and wouldn’t use them again. Car was booked in on a Tuesday for some minor work and a service. I was getting excuses on the Friday as to why the service wasn’t done, two members of staff rang in sick on the Friday, job wasn’t complete for another week.
I’ll stick with Porsche Belfast who are only marginally more expensive and have always been very honest. Cheaper is not always better.
