Hi,
I've just put a deposit down on a car with Morgan cars I. Warrenpoint and they've offered to provide a transporter service to get the car over to me in Mainland UK. Has anyone had dealing with them? They seem great on the phone but hoped others could vouch for them before I transfer any money.

Cheers,

Warren

I think they are well enough known and they do have a good range of nice cars. As with everything else though, buyer beware and if you are looking to spend any large sum of money (which is common with morgan cars!) I would strongly advise getting a local expert to do an inspection.

Thanks guys appreciated. I decided to fly out there to pick up the car and use a bankers draft for funding the purchase once satisfied. Buying cars is never easy!

That does make the most sense.

But...I would suggest that if return tickets are cheap, buy one anyway. Paying at the last minute can cost a fortune if things dont go to plan.

Ive been stung a couple of times going to England to buy cars. Their definitions of good, mint etc...leave a lot to be desired. Either that or the sellers are dirty lying bast.... well you get the idea.
I think the latter is more appropriate given the circumstances and the distances they knew clearly was travelling.

I'd never go to buy a car again without a return passage already planned. Even if it means driving over to buy. At least then you have transport to get about and view other potential cars.

I did actually buy the car and I flew into Belfast during the heavy bout of snow which was less than ideal. Anyhow, Morgan cars were fantastic. They Picked me up from the airport (where they waited 4 hours due to the flight delay!), once i arrived they left me to look at the car and were really helpful.
The car is in fantastic condition which has now been verified by an independent Porsche specialist. The only minor is it will need a clutch at some point which is normal for GT3's.

Anyway in summary, I'd definitely use Morgan cars again.

Cheers,

Francis taught me how to drive, he's a TOP fella with some lovely motors; now his name is being praised at the top of the thread list!

The car Warren bought is the same car from this thread:

Morgan Cars screwed me over.
