What a fabulous day for the Boudicia Run organised by the ICENI MGOC and sponsored by Kerridges.

With over 100 cars, including 3 Griffs, 2 "S" series, 2 very loud Cerberas , 2 Tuscans and 1 Chimaera, gathered Sunday morning in Bury St Edmunds for the 120 mile run.

Some superb roads!

With a lunch break at Kerridges and a finish at the Flying Fortress, organisation was superb with good humoured marshalls and an outstanding route through some beautiful Suffolk countryside...I am already looking forward to next year!

By the way it was a pleasure to finally meet Simpo in his superb Griff!

Wish I could have made it - especially as there was only one Chim there amongst all the other TVRs!! Just no time this weekend

There was only one Chimaera as I used my BGT on account of it being organised as an MG run. A very enjoyable day and a great run around the countryside.

And you too Sir! Glad you all liked it - I'll post some pix when I get the time. Have to confess the countryside got a bit blurred - and my exhaust pipes, round at the start, have oval sections after normal bumps suddenly got rather large.... navigator has bruised elbow and carpet burns!

Nice to see some rare stuff too - Aston Martin DB6, AC Ace and others. Watch this space!

Well I like to be a man of my word!

If you missed this run but would like to go next year, or attend any other events in the East Anglia region, please e-mail me via my profile.

Hi Mark! Actually we had two Chims - AH's 500 the same colour as yours and JB's yellow 450. Where were you?? You should have come over and said hi (MG owners eh?)

I love the photo of mine and Simpo's Griffs parked up with our bonnets "cocked" to let the hot air out!

I reckon that a copy should find its way to "Sprint"?

BTW, chatting to a few people on Sunday, it sounds like nice Griffs are in very short supply as people are buying them in preference to newer Tuscans offered for similar money...strange?

Lovely day...can't wait for the next one!

Great job Simpo!

Hi-res on its way Toffer! Once I would have sent a well-written, correctly-spelled article to Sprint with lots of nice photos and enthusiasm... these days it takes two months just to get a CD returned.

Ah - that'll be the words 'classic' and 'future' rearranged

Damn shame I couldn't be there, would have loved to have joined the fun. DangerMouse has filled me in, I'll just have to make sure I'm around for the next one!

Well done for organising it all

Hi guys,

Just like to says thanks to Simpo' for sorting the day.

Lil'LG and I had a great time and it was a great way to spend not only a gloriously sunny day out in the countryside but also LG's 13th birthday!

Shame there aren't more pic's of my car there John!

Twink didn't put a wheel wrong all day which is more than can be said for crew, and even showed herself to have an equal turn of pace, in a straight line at least, to a gorgeous track prepp'ed TVR3000S that had joined the event from the TVRCC.

I also had a totally unsolicited offer to buy Twink from a nice couple in an XKR who had a CRX VT when they first came out and are trying to track a decent one down to rekindle old memoires...

...which was flattering...

...I sent them packing obviously, I couldn't be arsed to walk home after all, and we'd've been late for dinner!

I have loads in photos on my T610. I will compile and post them later.

As ever, great to meet new PH'ers and catch up with ones I had already met.

Special hi to TVRSlag and TVRSlag(BiL)... LG was still finding our conversation hilariously amusing 12hrs later.

A nice photo of DM (David), LightingGhost (Lucien) and Twin-C (looking unusually shiney) taken by Simpotwo.
