Well as mentioned on the Aldeburgh thread I'm new! I happened across you all at the beach on Sunday. I thought it would be a nice thing to do on a Sunday with the sun out. However I was bloody frozen!!! Should have brought my winter coat.

Anyway so hi! Both myself and OH are car nuts. OH is a mechanic so loves engines and how things work, while I like cars that look pretty!

OH has a Scooby Bugeye 2.0 turbo which he is gradually restoring back to its health as the previous owner let it go to ruin sadly. Under the bonnet though its a great running motor, so I've been advised. His car history is massive, in fact in the 4 years we have been together he has had more cars then I've had hot dinners! I think if we had a drive way he'd have more than one car, unfortunately space says otherwise.

I drive a mercedes slk R170 230k and its my pride and joy. I always said that I'd have one by the time I was 30 and I made it with a year to spare.

We love going for days out and driving generally so hopefully we'll be able to join you throughout the year.

I see that you are planning to go to Cars on the Green, thats something we were planning to go to anyway so it would be nice to meet up and chat to new people.

BTW OH is a complete computer novice, he only uses it when necessary MOT's etc otherwise you'll have to put up with me I'm afraid!!

Slippery sums it up perfectly!

I do have a soft spot for those R170s, what with being the first of the modern European main stream motors to have a folding vario roof. 230's a decent little engine, too thumbup

PHEA, as well attending shows and organising runs throughout the year, also have a monthly pub meet on the last Sunday of each month. (That is unless that date happens to coincide with a Run or Show.)

You're more than welcome to join us. Everything is posted up on this forum, but I also have a PHEA mailing list, so you can be contacted directly.
If you'd like to be added to this, then please PM me with an email so you can added biggrin

Hopefully meet you soon!

Darren
