Long time browser of PH and finally decided to register; so just popped in to say hello:

I work in Dereham and live between Dereham and Watton.

Currently daily driver is a 2006 Audi S3, factory options include DVD Sat Nav, BOSE and adaptive Xenons.

Modifications: Milltek turbo back system and sports Cat, Forge CAI, Forge DV, Revo Stage 2+ remap and Revo select plus switch, Autotech HPFP, SACHS performance clutch and EBC yellowstuff pads.

Likely to be changing car in next couple of months, as the urge for some V8 rumble is becoming harder to resist.

Other cars currently in the fleet Opel Monza (x3), Carlton 24v GSI, Golf 1.8 Mk1 GTI and Mazda MX5

Cheers
Paul

Welcome mate! I have a soft spot for the Monzas (always wanted a GSE) and have fond meories of my 12v Carlton GSi and Senator. As for the V8 rumble, judging by the aforementioned members of your stable, I reckon my steed is right up your alley! drivingbiggrin

Welcome to the forum, Paul!

Another Dereham-Watton betweener here (Shipdham). There aren't too many S3s around here, so I can only assume it's you I've spotted from time to time, and had the odd bit of "fun" with in the past - I have a blue B7 RS4 saloon driving

You're more than welcome to join us are the various events we run and visit. Please check PHEA Website as details will be uploaded imminently.
Also, feel free to PM with an email so I can add you to the PH mailing list. that way you'll be directly contacted with details of the various events we attend smile
If you're interested, you're welcome to join us for the Aldeburgh Fish and Chip Run next Sunday (10th). Great way to meet other PHers and give your car a good run biggrin

I look forward to meeting you in the future smile

Welcome to a site, TVR rumble , the Audi V8 is just to boring and never goes wrong, how do you think the rest of us hide away from the washing up and decorating.

Norwich boy now but tractor boy at heart. Friendly bunch round here for sure.

Paul is one of the founder members of the Norfolk Monza Mafia - he actually has 4 Monzas - he's babysitting one of my spares hehe - no need for tissues although maybe soon if he gets his project car done we'll all need some (he's had a Monza project going for as long as I've known him and that's quite some time......)

Nice to see you've finally joined up - perhaps you'll put your name down for the F&C run now laugh

It was discussed recently at an ABS club meeting - I think it's on his potentials list

Annoyingly he's finally laid to rest my smelly Diesel Hatchback claims for his car

It's been a long running spoof at Marham events

From another thread where I finally managed to get him to register and post a reply

Hi Slippery
Think I would have to be described as infatuated with Monza’s; got my first GSE in late ‘80s, had it ever since.
VXR8 is definitely at the sharp end of my list, although the 2 Monaro VXR500s in the PH classifieds look tempting.

Thanks for the offer of having a look round your motor; I’d like to take you up on that when the opportunity arises.

Hi Darren, not a million miles away from me then – outside Shipdham towards Saham Hills.

Even fewer blue RS4 saloons!

Hi chormy and thanks for the welcome, TVRs are great and definitely tick the rumble box, but my perception is (possibly wrongly) that they’re a bit too fragile for a high mileage daily driver. I’ve had Audis as daily drivers for the last 8 years and would say whilst they rarely go wrong when they do it can be expensive. As you’ve probably guessed RS4 is on my list(but barely ticks the rumble box in standard form).
Cheers
