Thank you for that...they are too busy and dont do Nissans apparently frown

I guess I need a trimmer or something if anyone has an idea? A new seat base cover is over £500.00 so all help appreciated!

There is a guy down Garden St. in Norwich who comes highly recommended although i haven't used him so can't vouch for the work.

Matt, why did they say they did not do Nissans? Is it because the leather is leatherish? I remember reading something about the Japanese using some kind of synthetic leather that had most of the properties of natural leather, but was harder wearing (and probably cheaper too).

No the lady who I spoke to said that it wasnt the sort of thing they did and besides they had several months of work booked in!

Lucky they are so popular I guess.

Going to try the other place in Norwich now...

Leather seems a bit thiner than a merc or bmw but no different really. Its worn near the belt area after 80000 miles, so not hard wearing I suppose!

The guy in Garden Street is called Rob and does exceptional work. My mate had his custom 50's Dodge pickup done there and the work is awesome.

When my Zodiac project comes back, thats where it going for the interior...

It's actually the leather equivilent of chipboard. Shredded scrap leather held together with a resin bonded to a backing and then embossed with a leather print. Has the appearance of leather without any strength so as you say used for seat backs stc.
