My usual annual reminder that the vintage car meeting is on once again at Ufford, near Woodford. The White Lion Public House from around 11.00am on Saturday 2nd April 2011. The event features cars of all marques from vintage Bugatti to Austin seven and of course vintage Bentley. Last year featured a jazz combo, barbecue and real ale.

Thanks...it sounds like a really great day out, unfortunately I have a prior commitment and because of it, I am already going to miss the Triumph Historic Counties Challenge! frown

It's unlikely I'll make it this year due to circumstances beyond my control. frown

Sorry to hear this, it looks unlikely that my Vauxhall will be on the road by the weekend so its going to be a trip in the daily runner for me. Make sure I hide it well away from show site though.

Interesting vehicles on show as always, and brilliant weather too. Two vehicles of the show for me were the Bugatti Coupe and the little red racing moped, know nothing of the machine but guess its dates from turn of last century.

edit to correct use of word.

This one?

It's a new(ish) build I believe. I certainly didn't think it was the age it looked at a glance (newish carb, chain drive, has brakes etc). I overheard someone say that it was built as a school project by a kid. If so, he's done a great job - it looked ace smile

This was my pre-war fave:

And this was pretty nice too:

I've lots more pic's, I'll stick them up later if I get the chance. Do you know where they all went yesterday? We went along to the Triumph autotest, and had a drive about trying to find them again with no luck!

Edited to put the right picture in!!

Yes that is the little red moped, fabulous bit of kit, apart from ones bum being rather close to the tyre when riding biggrin

The meeting always go for a 'runout' on the Sunday following the show, where, I do not know. Never joined the runout as my old iron trying to keep up with some of the cars would be impossible.tank
