Calling the Gee Meister
Discussion
Right, haven't managed to meet up with Mr Gee yet so want to let you know here what we're up to.
Last few years, I have held a Charity dinner to raise money for a charity called RMHC (www.rmhc.org.uk)
However, I have always wanted to organise a 'car' event to do a similar task.
So, on discussing with a few like minded business friends, I have decided to hold a driving experience day.
Working title is 'The RMHC Race car experience'.
We have booked Snetterton for November 20th of this year. Thats not just ONE track but BOTH the 200 and 100 track.
The idea is we will have race cars plus their drivers offering 3 laps of the Snetterton 200. This will allow us to run alternative half hourly slots with road based supercars/ sportscars bought along by regular pistonheaders or similar.
Members of the public will be able to buy these 3 laps in the various cars throughout the day.
Meanwhile, on the Snetterton 100, we will be running classic cars in similar half hourly slots. These will alternate with motoring dealerships who will have the opportunity to use their half hours to allow test drives of their demo cars. (driven by their staff or customers. Its their choice).
Hopefully the day will run from 8am through until 4 pm.
ALL proceeds will go to the RMHC and ALL costs will be covered by sponsorship by various corporate businesses.
So, if you know anyone that would like some track time in their supercar/ sportscar whilst taking members of the public around and helping a very worthwhile charity, then I would be very pleased to discuss further.
Also, if you feel you, your business or club could help then again, please get in touch.
thank you

Shawn Taylor is helping me arrange the racing drivers/cars on the day so will pass on any details to him unless you already know him?
Hopefully having a launch night in September as well.
Need to advertise the event soon to make sure the public get to hear about it.
Fingers crossed it'll be a decent motoring event that we can make a yearly event.
I don't know Shawn although I've obviously heard of him. He's got the first racing version of my car in the UK. By all means pass my details onto him. He's on here so he can PM me if need be. I'm sure it will be a great day, even if Snetterton does always feel about 10 degrees colder than anywhere else in Norfolk.
