I drove from Blakeney to Fakenham around 2pm and there were distinctly snow-flakish lumps amongst the rain.

Had a very brief rain burst which progressed into snow flakes here in Norwich earlier, but didnt amount to anything...frown

We have a bit here in Bowthorpe but its still too wet and the ground is too warm to settle, we havent had a frost for a little while so it needs to cool first, interesting times though.

Yep got a fair bit on cromer road.

Covered all our cars and is settling on the pavements etc.

Not getting a chance to settle on the roads..... how long until we run out of salt/grit then?

It was a slow drive back to Aylsham from the city at 17:30 this evening.
The snow was comimg straight at the screen all the way home which had everyone travelling at about 20mph.
It then all came to a standstill just through Hevingham which I assumed was the result of an accident near Marsham.
Not wanting to sit in statinary traffic, I cut through to the Holt road and made my way home from there. The snow wasn't really settling, but it was very slushy.
My car is now proper filthy and is drippimg salt and slush onto my nice clean garage floor.

only been in Aylsham for a year, spent 7 years in Horsford prior to that and 30 years in Cromer before that.
I know a few people from Aylsham though from my time living in Cromer and going out and about in Cromer/Sheringham

Nothing at home in Shipdham, but drove up to Holt tonight. Got half way there and the snow just came hammering down. A couple inches in Holt itself.
After a couple of hours in a nice warm pub, the roads were left with very little snow, just soaking wet.

I trust you were there for the lights being switched on?
Mr Jake Humphreys was the guy who hit the switch I believe?

Yes and Yes smile

Went up there, for the light switch on, but a group of us were sitting in an estate agents drinking Mulled Wine, not really paying attention to the time.....so we actually missed the switched on paperbag
Fireworks were good, though yes
