A good initial meeting and as you say nice to meet fellow PHers, good pub too AND it didn't rain!

Thanks to Ian and John, looking forward to the next meet.

Cheers,
Neil

PS Does and Ultima engine fit in a Griff? and if so - where would the driver and passenger sit?

Yes, that was good start to many more meetings I hope. Thanks to all who made it and I`m sorry if any that tried to get there couldn`t find the pub, It`s just off the Dual carriage way. Thanks to Neil for his navigational skills - didn`t want to get there early anyway

Thanks to Andy for bring his Ultima - that is an awesome piece of kit for sure

The wife had a go in the Chim when I got back and we managed to get flashed by another Chim and a Tuscan on our way up to Hunstanton. As we got home another of our local Chims was just dropping off some flowers for us - a perfect day I reckon

So where abouts did you all meet up then?

I was hoping to get an email detailing the venue so I could pop over there for a little while and meet you all but I didn't hear anything?

Hi Justin,

I emailed you through your profile to let you know - did you not receive it? I didn`t get a reply from you so assumed you couldn`t make it!! D`oh

It looks like we are going to do again in a month or so - same place. The Angel pub near Larling just off the A11 between Thetford and Snetterton. It`s easy to miss the turn off (you can see the pub just off the duel carriageway) and most of us did at first!!!!

Would have been nice to see you - sorry about that.

Ian

So then chaps, how was the turn out? Did may people attend and was there a nice variety of cars?

Did you manage to get a little drive out anywhere or did you just hang around the pub all afternoon?

There were several TVRs, an Ultima and a few in their "day" cars. It wasn`t bad for short notice but some that didn`t make it this time but want to come next from their email responses was a Noble, V8S, Porsche 993, Cobra, a couple more Griffs and of course there was a Ferrari

From this meet came ideas for a drive out next time and some great "outings" and a general agreement that this venue was pretty central for the Anglian phers to get together. Early days though so all ideas welcome.

Sorry I couldn't make it...sounds like you had a good first meet!

IMO as the weather improves, more people will come along on an impromtu basis...the sun is shining, where are my keys!

All the best!

Welcome Hornie! Another East Anglian Ultima Can-Am, you`ll be wanting to meet Andycanam then. Keep an eye here for info on next meet. I think the plan was perhaps the last Sunday of the month near Thetford.

Edited to add - can`t open your profile pic

Unfortunately I also couldn't make it. I could make up various excuses but combination of particularly bad hangover (would have killed an ordinary man) and a dirty car with no time to clean it was enough to prevent me attending. Will try harder next time
Thanks for info Ian
