Visited Rougham Classic Car and Air Show yesterday and was generally impressed with the day. The Rougham Show has an "old world" feel about it, which I like!

However, the car show was not special, with no "newer" cars on displayed. The air display was good, with some fantastic photo opportunities of some interesting aircraft.

One note of caution...the parking was simply nasty...a stubble field! yikes

If you have time, the little museum (located in a couple of nissen huts and the old control tower) has some curious artefacts from WWII, relating to the US bombers, men and air bases.

After the show, we had a very late lunch at The Flying Fortress in Bury St Edmunds...it is more or less at the end of the Rougham runway! We both enjoyed the delicious and legendary "Meat Feast" (for the uninitiated that is the beef carvery). A nice end to a nice day! smile

Ha, the first venue of PHEA! And of course we used to attend Rougham but the cars always got a very low priority. Good flying show though.

I suppose the clue is in the show name, "Classic car". That's probably why no newer cars.

Also depends on your definition of "newer" and "classic" cars?
Many consider the TVR Griffith a classic car now...I would too...I would also consider it a "newer" car! wink
As you were! teacher
Still we did have an enjoyable day at the show...whatever it was featuring!
