Hi Guys

We've got our 8yr Anniversary coming up. I'm looking for a nice hotel within an hour or so of Norwich. Don't really want to be in London.

Somewhere out in the Country would be great.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I can recommend The Blakeney Hotel...in Blakeney, obviously!

A bit pricey, but worth it for a special occasion smile

Norfold Mead in Coltishall or Maison Talbooth on the Essex\Suffolk borders are worth a look.

Bildeston Crown in Suffolk would get my vote.

About hour and a half from Norwich. Lovely quiet village, great accommodation (The Black Fuchsia Room is ace) and outstanding food - probably the best of its kind I've eaten in the UK. The Cheese to Share dessert is stunning.

I've not stayed at Maison Talbooth but have been there for a driving event; did seem to be very good and they do have a good reputation.

Hintlesham Hall could be another option. Next door to a golf course and they have a spa/treatment building in the grounds as well. Excellent service and some very nice rooms but dinner can be "jacket and tie" sometimes.

This is a bit different - converted water tower. My parents went once which is why i remembered it!

Can't remember what they thought of it though - anyone been?
