Bildeston Crown in Suffolk would get my vote.

About hour and a half from Norwich. Lovely quiet village, great accommodation (The Black Fuchsia Room is ace) and outstanding food - probably the best of its kind I've eaten in the UK. The Cheese to Share dessert is stunning.

I've not stayed at Maison Talbooth but have been there for a driving event; did seem to be very good and they do have a good reputation.
Hintlesham Hall could be another option. Next door to a golf course and they have a spa/treatment building in the grounds as well. Excellent service and some very nice rooms but dinner can be "jacket and tie" sometimes.
