I saw this car at a show earlier this year attended by PH with Sue and me (looking very jaundiced) in the cursed TR7...mostly Fords at the show I recall.
The Capri had a unique metallic flake (sparkly) paint job done for a promotion and the car originally had no interior, engine or running gear at all. I met the owner who had fitted an old Rover V8 and all the other requisite stuff to make it a runner. I believe the owner was interested in selling the car...I wonder if he did?

He did indeed, i now own it. It was at Cars on the Green, the show i co-organised for our club Bury Retro Ford. It was the owners son that bought it to the show on his behalf as the "show scene" isn't his thing.
Its now mot'd and taxed although i've got a few jobs to do to it before i can start using it, namely a new rad, brake pipes (flexi ones) and a new set of tyres. Have replaced the sump and rocker cover gaskets as they had dried out and were leaking like a "good un". Have replaced the front seats for full leather Recaro's from the "Brookie" i broke a while back, the rears will go in too at some point but got to totallly re-do the interior over the winter so gonna go down the black leather and red route!
