Yep. i'm there for the weekend.beer

It is going to be massive.

They haven't announced exactly what the T127's involvement is, but it's possible it may put in a slow lap or two.

News just in.... T127 to run at Snetterton!!!

"As the Classic Team Lotus Festival approaches, the big news is that Lotus Racing will be running its 2010 Formula One car on the track.

This will the UK public debut of the Lotus Racing T127; furthermore it is likely to be the only chance to see the car running in the UK this year, other than at the British Grand Prix. (Current F1 regulations restrict severely the running that teams can do outside of Grand Prix.)

Lotus Racing is busy working on completing the fourth chassis of its T127 design, which was scheduled to undertake its official ‘installation’ laps at the forthcoming European Grand Prix in Valencia.
Truly a landmark occasion. Given the significance of the Classic Team Lotus Festival for the Lotus marque, Lotus Racing now has been given permission by the organisers of the FIA Formula One World Championship to conduct its European Grand Prix installation procedure at the Festival. So, for just a short while, Snetterton will become Valencia, and Norfolk will echo to the sound of a current Formula One car for the first time in years, and the sound of a current F1 Lotus for the first time since 1994.

The driver is yet to be announced, and as all three Lotus Racing drivers (Jarno Trulli, Heikki Kovalainen and Fairuz Fauzy) will be at the Classic Team Lotus Festival, there is no clue as yet.

At the end of the Festival the T127 will leave the company of the 35 historic Team Lotus F1 cars at the event and be loaded onto the Lotus Racing transporter, to be waved away by the Snetterton crowd, as it sets off for the European Grand Prix, which will be the 500th Grand Prix for the Lotus marque.

The attendance at the Festival of one of every Team Lotus F1 design is now confirmed; 35 designs, together for the first time.

A display of very special Jim Clark cars will include the Team Lotus Trio of his type 25, type 32B and type 49. (The type 38 is no longer able to participate.) This will be the UK public debut of the type 49 chassis R2 since its recent restoration by Classic Team Lotus."

We're racing on the sunday smile
We'll be in one of the garages. Keep an eye out for Lotus Elise (white and blue) number 61, i'll be hanging around it kicking the tyres or maybe getting handy with ductape (depending on how the weekend progresses) smile

Come and say hello smile

I'll see if i can get a "good behaviour" pass and pop along. Looking at the booking site it makes you laugh, if you get your tickets sent "special delivery" it actually costs more than buying your tickets on the gate. Not that i'm tight or anything but i always thought the principal of buying tickets in advance was to save money, not to pay £5.50 postage and for the tickets to work out more!!!

Oh well, could be a chance to see an F1 car in Norfolk that may not come around again for a fair few years to come.

Booked. Hope the tickets come in time.

Sue wants a Lotus Exige, and the Silverstone Lotus experience did not put her off.
Do they come in "sparkly rainbow black"? hippy

My tickets have arrived. Checking out the weather forecast it looks like warm clothing will be required! Snetterton is renowned for being a bit chilly when the wind blows cloud9

Snetterton is one of those places, blistering hot when the temperatures are good but when the NE wind blows you will most defo need your wooley undies on... However, a small price to pay for an event like this one biggrin
