I recently brought a 307 HDi as a daily whichis proving fine, it has a tow bar fitted which I need to use this weekend to tow the caravan to SCR for a race meet.

Thought I'd just test the Peugeots trailer electrics tonight ready for the weekend & guess what, they don't work.

After a bit of detective work turns out the towbar & plug have never been used, towbar and plug are fitted & wiring is through to the rear cluster BUT, the wiring has NEVER been connected up to the car.

The wiring is a proper kit, which goes to a box called a '7 way universal bypass relay'..

However this isn't hooked upto the car, I NEED a friendly sparky asap as auto-electrics isn't something I know anything about, anyone know anyone who could sort before the weekend?????

Car can be in either Wisbech/Cambs area or Isle of Dogs, London..

Thanks

I'm the wrong side of Norfolk but if you are happy to entrust it to a non-proffesional I'd be happy to help. I wired a towbar into my volvo from scratch. Only thing is, other than tomorrow afternoon I'm busy till next thursday.

Interestingly, my brother bought a new 206 with dealer fitted towbar and they had made a total dogs dinner of the wiring resulting in brake lights flashing instead of indicators, on the opposite side to the car. He didn't realise until he'd driven 100 miles to pick up a new trailer.
